Application of Isothermal Titration Calorimetry in the Investigation of Asphaltene Association

  • Chapter
Asphaltenes, Heavy Oils, and Petroleomics

Abstract

In biochemistry the use of isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) is abundant in the investigation of interactions between different components. In the present chapter, we describe the application of this technique to the studies of petroleum compounds especially asphaltenes and resins and their interaction.
