Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the priority areas of research in the field of computer science. AI uses software to solve problems that have not yet been solved by a person. Whereas humans get tired, experience emotions, often think irrationally, and resort to crime, corruption, and other undesirable behaviors, robots are devoid of these shortcomings. However, for them to replace humans in critical areas, robots must have human-like intelligence.
This chapter provides a brief history of the work in the field of AI, characterizes the directions of AI, overviews the current state of research and development of AI systems, lists the main search and development (R&D) trends in the field of AI, and shows the possibilities of using AI systems in the field of public administration. Finally, the directions for modern AI technologies and the timeline of the development of social relations for artificial intelligence are revealed.
