Zusammenfassung

Die Resektion von Lungentumoren, meist Bronchialkarzinom, aber auch metastasenchirurgische Eingriffe sowie Pneumothorax und entzündliche Erkrankungen sind die führenden Indikationen für thoraxchirurgische Operationen. Dieser Beitrag stellt die intensivmedizinische Überwachung und das Management in der postoperativen Phase dar. Insbesondere sind hier die respiratorische Insuffizienz und das Sekretmanagement thematisiert. Die speziellen postoperativen Krankheitsbilder und Komplikationen dieser Eingriffe umfassen Pneumonien, Herniation des Herzens, tracheobronchiale Ruptur, Torsion eines Lungenlappens, prolongierte pleurale Fistel, Anastomosen-/Stumpfinsuffizienzen, postoperative Nachblutung, ARDS, akute Rechtsherzinsuffizienz, Herzrhythmusstörungen und akutes Nierenversagen.
