The Mathematics Education Research Journal actively seeks to promote research from the Australasian region either as research conducted in the region; conducted by researchers from the region and/or draws on research from the region. The Mathematics Education Research Journal accepts papers from authors from all regions internationally but authors must draw on the extensive research that has been produced in the Australasian region.

Call for Papers: Special Issue - Approaches to Investigating Young Children’s Mathematical Activity
The focus of the Special Issue is on the evolving and emerging qualitative methodologies for researching the mathematical behaviours, thinking and dispositions of young children – from birth up to about 10 years of age.
the main purpose of the Special Issue is to gather together a set of papers that provide explications of a range of research methods that are particularly well-suited to the particularities of research with children, for the benefit of other researchers.
