Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag befasst sich mit Persuasion als dem Versuch, mittels strategischer Kommunikation bewusst Einfluss auf die Einstellungen, Haltungen und Meinungen von Personen, Gruppen und Organisationen zu nehmen. Dazu wird zunächst sowohl auf die antike Rhetorik als auch die experimentelle Persuasionsforschung eingegangen. Weiter werden die Zwei-Prozess-Modelle der Persuasion vorgestellt und Faktoren der Kommunikator*innen, der Kommunikate sowie der Rezipienten diskutiert, die Persuasion fördern oder dieser entgegenarbeiten. Zudem wird dargestellt, in welchem Verhältnis individuelle Einstellungen und menschliches Verhalten stehen. Zuletzt wird erörtert, welche Barrieren Persuasion entgegenstehen und exemplarisch einige Strategien vorgestellt, solchen Barrieren entgegenzuwirken.
