Meteorological Research Reviews

Part of the book series: Meteorological Monographs ((METEOR,volume 3))

Abstract

The Compendium of meteorology (Malone, 1951) was designed to review the field and to suggest new avenues of research. In this great source book various aspects of climatology were discussed. Although not all facets of climatology were covered, the collection of articles gave an adequate picture of the state of knowledge as of the period just following world war II. A multitude of unsolved problems were presented by the various authors.
