Noninvasive Mechanical Ventilation

Abstract

Noninvasive ventilation (NIV) is a treatment in respiratory failure. NIV response is a complex condition depending on numerous factors that need a precise approach. CPAP and NIV need a clear definition for appropriate indications and selections. This chapter summarizes all key determinants to best approach understanding early diagnosis and treatment in noninvasive response.
