Views of the public about Snacktivity™: a small changes approach to promoting physical activity and reducing sedentary behaviour

Many people do not meet the recommended health guidance of participation in a minimum of 150–300 min of moderate intensity physical activity per week, often promoted as at least 30 min of physical activity on ...

Structure and Properties of Tin-Doped Metal Oxides

Tin-doped Fe3O4 prepared by solid state reactions is shown by X-ray powder diffraction and extended X-ray absorption fine structure to contain tin in the octahedral sites of the inverse spinel-related structure.

    Analysis of oxyanion (BO 3 3− , CO 3 2− , SO 4 2− , PO 4 3− , SeO 4 4- ) substitution in Y123 compounds studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

XPS core level spectra of Y123 compounds doped by C, B, S, P, and Se elements are presented. It is found that the C1s, E1s, S2p, P2p, and Se3d binding energies of doped compounds are close to those of CaCO3, FeBO

Synthesis, composition, and structure of superconducting (Y, Ca)Sr, Ba)2Cu2GaO7−δ

The superconducting properties of Y1−y Ca y Sr2Cu2GaO7−δ have been examined and related to the Ca content,y, and the use of annealing treatments at 350 bar oxygen. Superconductiv...

Synthesis and superconducting properties of the strontium copper oxy-fluoride Sr2CuO2F2+δ

HIGH-PRESSURE synthesis has proved a useful technique for obtaining new, metastable copper oxide superconductors; for example, oxygen insertion into Sr2CuO3 at 6 GPa (ref. 1) yields superconducting Sr2CuO3.i, wi...

Chemical control of superconducting properties of (Y, Ca)(Sr, Ba)2Cu2.7Ga0.3O7−δ

The partial substitution of Ga at the Cu(1) (chain) sites of the YBa2Cu3O7 structure allows synthesis at ambient pressure of Ba-free analogs, e.g., YSr2Cu2.7Ga0.3O7−δ . Materials with this composition have been f...
