Zusammenfassung

Um gutartige Erkrankungen des Penis diagnostizieren und therapieren zu können, ist die Kenntnis des strukturellen Aufbaus und der neurovaskulären Versorgung des Penis von entscheidender Bedeutung. Es gibt verschiedene angeborene Fehlbildungen des Penis sowie erworbene Erkrankungen/Anomalien, die kosmetisch störend sein können und auch zu funktionellen Einschränkungen führen können. Bei Einschränkungen der Funktion (Miktion/Zeugungsfähigkeit), aszendierenden (Harnwegs-)Infekten oder entsprechender Symptomatik (u. a. schmerzhafte Erektion bei Deviation) ist eine entsprechende Therapie indiziert. In diesem Kapitel werden die wichtigsten gutartigen Erkrankungen und Anomalien (mit Ausnahme der kinderurologischen Fehlbildungen: Hypospadie und Epispadie-Ekstrophie-Komplex) im Bereich des Penis dargestellt und Indikationsstellungen einer Therapie sowie entsprechende Behandlungsstrategien aufgezeigt.
