Definitions

An intimate partner is a current or former partner to which someone is either married to or is in a romantic relationship with. Intimate partner violence is violence perpetrated by a current or former intimate partner toward another current or former intimate partner.

Homicide–suicide is the killing of one or more individuals, in which the perpetrator completes suicide afterward. Filicide is the killing of one’s children. Filicide–suicide is the killing of one’s child or children, in which the perpetrator completes suicide afterward.
