Abstract

Hydrogels have been established as useful biomaterials for the development of drug-delivery vehicles. Hydrogels are preferred for such applications due to their similarity to the host's extracellular matrix. It has high water content, relatively high biocompatibility, and self-healing properties. It can also be used as a heterogeneous catalyst for industrial applications. Hence, it is crucial to determine the rheological properties of hydrogels to make them more efficient in their application. This chapter aims to outline the experimental protocols that can ascertain some important rheological properties of peptide hydrogels.
