Adsorption of Vinpocetine on the Surface of Liposomes Obtained from Soy Lecithin

  • Published:
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal Aims and scope

Adsorption of vinpocetine on a reference adsorbent and liposomes derived from soy lecithin was compared. The reference adsorbent was iron(III) hydroxide sol. The dispersion medium was separated from colloidal sol particles by column chromatography. Soy-lecithin liposomes were obtained by a hydration/rehydration method. The characteristics of vinpocetine adsorption on the liposome surface were studied using an equilibrium dialysis method. Langmuir equation constant b (concentration of half-limiting adsorption) for liposomes was smaller than that for adsorption on iron(III) hydroxide sol particles, which was evidence of rather effective adsorption of vinpocetine on the surface of liposomes at low concentrations.
