Abstract

Indole-3-butyric acid at 25 μM with methyl jasmonate (MJ) at 100 μM in Panax ginseng synergistically stimulated both root growth and ginsenoside accumulation compared with 100 μM MJ alone. Productivity of ginsenoside was 10 mg l−1 d−1 compared to 7.3 mg l−1 d−1 with MJ elicitation alone.
