Abstract

Successful experiments substantially squeezing one component of the electromagnetic field [1,2] have stimulated interest in the applications of the squeezed vacuum [1–6]. Gardiner and Collett [6] in particular have derived a master equation for the atomic density operator ρ for NA 2-level atoms in the squeezed vacuum. This short paper reports four sets of further results in this connection.
