BMC Primary Care is pleased to announce a new Collection ‘The future of primary care: innovations, challenges, and opportunities’, which will explore new trends, outline the upcoming challenges, and explore the potential of primary care for sha** global health outcomes in the future. As the first point of contact for patients in healthcare systems, it is essential for policymakers and healthcare professionals working in primary care to evolve and adapt in response to changing societal needs, developments in technology and healthcare interventions, and new challenges to public health. By launching this Collection, BMC Primary Care seeks to foster collaboration, dialogue, and knowledge-sharing with researchers, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to encourage advances in primary care delivery that will improve global health outcomes and resolve health inequalities. In this Collection, we welcome submissions in a diverse range of primary care research topics that explore new perspectives and resolve challenges that will impact the equitable delivery of primary care in the future, supporting BMC Primary Care’s commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being (SDG3) and SDG 10: Reducing Inequalities.
