This Special Issue, to be published in Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology (CEMN), aims to present comprehensive and state-of-the-art advances supporting the usage of mass spectrometry-based proteomics to gain novel information on neurodegenerative diseases. In particular, this Special Issue aims to publish contributions on a variety of neurodegenerative diseases, among them, but not limited to: Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Britta Eggers is a Post Doc at the Ruhr University Bochum, Protein Diagnostics Center. Her research focus lies on the elucidation on pathological changes in neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders using cell culture models and human biopsies and analyzing their protein pattern via mass spectrometry.
