Abstract
The collaboration between UAVs and the IoV has garnered significant attention from both academia and industries. One of the typical application scenarios is the pedestrian detection system based on UAVs, which is a promising approach to compensating blind spots of vehicles. In this chapter, we present an end–edge–cloud cooperation architecture for UAV-assisted pedestrian detection within the IoV. Then, we implement a hardware-in-the-loop testbed to assess the functionality of each component. Finally, we deploy the system in realistic environments and conduct performance evaluation.
