It is the influence on the performance of the home team or home field players in a home game, including the home advantage and home disadvantage. (1) Home advantage. It means that home factors (e.g., familiarity with the field, spectator support) improve the chances of winning for the home team or home field players. Because of the different characteristics of the data distribution under different competition systems, the methods of evaluating the home advantage are also different. In the home-away balanced match system, the home field winning rate, or the difference between the home field winning rate and the home-away winning rate, is usually used for evaluation. The above indexes have also been used to evaluate the home advantage in the unbalanced competition system of individual competition.
