Abstract

Cardiac allograft rejection and vasculopathy are major causes of morbidity and mortality in heart transplant recipients. Endomyocardial biopsy is the recommended gold standard to detect rejection, and coronary angiography is the recommended modality to detect coronary artery stenosis. Cardiac CT and MRI, with newer advancements, are rapidly develo** as tools for accurate noninvasive detection of vasculopathy and allograft rejection.
