Abstract

In this work, MoS2 nanosheets were produced using a hydrothermal technique for humidity sensing applications. Also, cadmium do** was done to study the effects on morphology and humidity sensing properties of MoS2. To analyze the produced MoS2 nanosheets, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), FTIR spectroscopy, and UV–visible spectroscopy were used. XRD data confirms the hexagonal phase of MoS2, and from SEM images, flower-like spheres to wrapped nanosheet structures were observed. The comparative analysis of pure and cadmium-doped MoS2 was discussed here. Also, the humidity sensing behavior of both pure and cadmium-doped MoS2 was studied in this paper.
