Abstract
Cancer is the most complex disease and is attributed to the accumulation of genetic and epigenetic alterations in cells from initiation to progression. Since epigenetic changes are reversible, significant advances have been made in understanding how diet influences epigenetic mechanisms. Over the past decade, studies have been carried out to identify dietary bioactive components regulating multiple molecular cellular targets that modulate cancer. This chapter summarizes the existing data in cancer chemoprevention with dietary phytochemicals that can interfere with various epigenetic targets.
