Abstract

In order to solve the problem of water control in old oil fields with high water cut, automatic water control technology was used to improve the production effect of oil Wells. The principle of the AICD was introduced, the opening of the disc wound be affected by the viscosity change of the fluid flowing through the device, thereby it served the purpose of controlling water and stabilizing oil. Because the internal structure of the device could not withstand a large pressure difference, a cup packer that did not need to be pressed for setting was developed. The principle and application scope of the cup packer was introduced. The basic information of the test well was introduced, and the field test results show that, the daily oil production increased by 1.07 t and the water content reduced by 6.4% after using the AICD, the obvious effect of water control was obtained. The automatic water control technology can realize long-period separate fluid-producing control and increase daily oil production, it can control the output of water stratify, which has good social and economic benefits.
