Concentrate Recovery Rate

Concentrate recovery rate is the mass percentage of useful component in concentrate product for the same component of the processed ore. This is an important technical and economic index that is used to assess the beneficiation technology and management capacity of mining enterprise. It is the degree at which the useful component in the processed ore is recovered. Provided that the concentrate quality requirements are fulfilled, the higher recovery rate of a useful component in the concentrate signifies, the higher degree of recovering that component.

Recovery rate can be classified into theoretical recovery rate and actual recovery rate. The calculation formula of theoretical recovery rate ε is as follows:

$$ \varepsilon =\frac{\beta \left(\alpha -\delta \right)}{\alpha \left(\beta -\delta \right)}\times 100\% $$

where α is the crude ore grade, β is the concentrate grade, and δ is the tailings grade.

The calculation formula of actual recovery rate is as follows:
