Abstract

Ocean energy refers to renewable energy derived from ocean water bodies, mainly including wave energy, tidal energy, tidal current energy, thermal energy and salinity gradient energy. As a renewable and environment-friendly clean energy, ocean energy has great strategic importance for the world transition towards low-carbon and green practices and building a clean energy system. Based on the databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Web of Science (WOS). This paper searched the literature on ocean energy, and analyzed the publication trend of ocean energy at China and international, partnership between states and institutional organizations, and more research topics of ocean energy by methods of bibliometrics and data mining, so as to reveal the international development trend of ocean energy research and provide ponderable references for the future research on ocean energy.
