Abstract
Gabriel Lame (1795–1870): A famous French mathematician whose name is inscribed on the Eiffel Tower; proposed Lame curves and introduced Curvilinear curves in mathematics; also known for Lame’s constants used in the design of pressure vessels in strength of materials.
