Abstract

The discharge of Tangjiashan barrier lake began from 7:08 on June 7, 2008. Till 08:45 on June 11th, inflow and outflow of the barrier lake were basically balanced. Retrogressively scouring and lateral erosion are obviously observed in the channel during the 4-day discharge process. The side slopes of the channel underwent a process of stability-creep-stability.
