Abstract

The theoretical research on natural resource economics can be traced back to William Pedi in the seventeenth century and Malthus in the eighteenth century. The former economist’s famous saying “Land is the mother of wealth, and labor is the father of wealth” is the earliest germination of the resource value theory.
