Abstract
This chapter introduces the topic of project management in business. Some major examples are briefly described to help demonstrate project characteristics. A variety of project types are discussed. The aspect of project complexity and the resulting risk in modern business is described. The overall project system is presented, with discussion of project success and failure, along with reasons and risk management quality control tools.
