Abstract
One of the most crucial aspects for veterinarians from the context of their veterinary professional practice is ensuring the well-being of staff, clients, animals, and the public at large. The subject of risk management in veterinary sciences is a challenging issue with multilevel roles for a veterinarian in which one is involved. Therefore, the aspects associated with risk identification, assessment, etc., will vary considerably depending on where and under what settings a veterinarian is working. In this chapter, core concepts of proper risk identification to identify the problem, the analysis of the level and depth of risk, effective and timely communication with stakeholders, and its efficient management on the part of the veterinarian and the support staff are discussed briefly.
