Abstract

I was born in **an, Shandong Province in 1955. My father was originally a teacher in primary school education, and later was admitted to Fu Jen Catholic University in Bei**g to study psychology.

This oral transcript was reviewed and revised by Professor Li Peilin, the narrator. I hereby give him my thanks.

    Lu Xueyi (1933-2013) was an Honorary Academic Member of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He was once Director and a researcher of Institute of Sociology at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, President of the Chinese Sociological Association, and a famous expert on rural issues.

    At the end of 1955, in the climax period of agricultural cooperative, Mao Zedong personally presided over the editing of the book The Socialist Climax in Rural China (Volume I, II and III) (People’s Publishing House, 1956), which directly promoted the climax of the agricultural cooperative movement.
