Abstract

In this chapter, we review the notations used in quantum mechanics and discuss some fundamental ideas of quantum mechanics within the context of quantum computers. The underlying principles of quantum mechanics and the quantum theory of measurement have been discussed in Chap. 4. A few highlights of the chapter are reviewed in the context of qubits.
