Abstract
Vertical launch is an advanced launch mode at present. In this paper, a dual Euler method posture model was proposed to solve the problems of singularity and limited range of Euler angle in the attitude updating processing of vertical launch. In this method, quaternions are employed for the posture updating. In addition, positive Euler is adopted to describe the projectile attitude during the processing of launch or small angle flying, while the reverse Euler is adopted to describe the projectile attitude during the processing of large angle flying. The results show that the method can overcome the singularity of the attitude angles and realize the attitude representation of all angle changes. The calculation speed is twice higher than that of Euler equation, and the calculation accuracy has also been improved.
