Abstract

Connectivity is the capability to connect people to every corner of the world using various devices. It gives access to purchase, pin, pick anything from anywhere. But how does the data get from here to there, it is because of application programming interface (API). Over nineteen thousand APIs have been added to the online API directory programmable Web since 2005, and more are added every month. Using RESTful APIs as a major communication, core integrations are performed between telecom application services (customers, credits, payments, invoices) and an accounting application to maintain end-to-end customer billing transactions by creating two-way journal entries. This thesis work is facilitates future scope of RESTful API integrations and their key role in performance factors like customer satisfaction, customer retention, and conversion. A captious literature survey has been conducted on non-academic articles to prove the facts that API development and integrations provide major contribution for improving sales in small-scale as well as large-scale industries.
