Application of Drip Irrigation Resistance Reduction Shallow Buried Anode Ground Bed Technology in Casing Cathodic Protection of Changqing Jiyuan Oilfield

Abstract

Drip irrigation is a new type of anode ground bed, which combines drip irrigation with cathodic protection. Drip irrigation can increase soil water content and reduce resistance of shallow anode ground bed in arid and high soil resistivity area, which is conducive to the transmission of current through the soil to the cathode and the establishment of current circuit to realize cathodic protection. In Jiyuan low permeability oilfield of Changqing, we have carried out the industrial test of drip irrigation to reduce resistance and shallow buried metal oxide anode ground bed. Taking Sha a well site as an example, the paper introduces that the anode ground bed composed of drip irrigation and resistance reducing agent can provide stable cathodic protection current for the casing of 4 oil wells and meet the design protection potential requirements. Compared with the traditional deep well anode ground bed, the construction cost of the anode ground bed with this structure is reduced by more than 60%, the construction safety and environmental protection risk and mud treatment cost are reduced, the mud pollution to the environment is avoided, the development efficiency and development level of low permeability oilfield are improved, and a selection method is provided for the establishment of shallow anode ground bed for casing cathodic protection in arid and high soil resistivity oilfield.
