Abstract
In AC power system, the loss is strongly related to the AC resistance of cable conductor, but there is no perfect model to calculate the AC resistance especially the AC resistance of segmental conductors. Therefore, an AC resistance measuring system is proposed to measure the large cross-section segmental conductors. The principle of skin effect of cable conductor is deeply studied. And the structure and functions of the measuring system are introduced in detail. At last, the aluminum rod and \({1800}\;{\text{mm}}^{2}\) segmental conductors are measured. The results show that the measuring system is able to measure the AC resistance of segmental conductors accurately.
