Numerical Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow

Abstract

In the present paper, we studied the effect of thermal stratification with variable permeability and melting on mixed convective heat transfer from a vertical plate in a non-Darcy porous medium. The various physical parameters entering into the problem on dimensionless velocity, temperature, and Nusselt number were discussed graphically. Using similarity variables, the partial differential equations are transformed to ordinary differential equations and are solved using MATLAB bvp4c solver numerically.
