Abstract

Maintaining or improving quality of life is a paramount issue today. Investigators of urban problems are concerned about deteriorating quality of life in inner cities. While technological advances have, in the past, contributed to the quality of life, they may in the future detract rather than contribute. The information technologies are no exception. But need this be so?
