Résumé

Les formations herbacées denses occupent une grande partie du territoire de certaines régions francaises. Or, ces formations présentent deux caractères qui compliquent singulièrement leur étude :

  • les individus de la plupart des espèces ne peuvent pas y être dénombrés exactement,

  • la biomasse présente une fluctuation saisonnière très grande, et elle est constituée d’un grand nombre d’espèces.
