Abstract
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely self-administered for the relief of musculoskeletal pain and commonly prescribed for women of child-bearing age with inflammatory arthritis. Although the effects of NSAIDs on maternal and foetal physiology in pregnancy and their possible teratogenicity have been a matter of considerable concern, their role as a possible cause of female infertility has been previously overlooked.
