Reactivity of peroxo α-amino acid complexes of molybdenum (VI) towards nitric oxide and carbon oxide in water solutions

Spectroscopy of Biological Molecules: New Directions

Abstract

Peroxo complexes of molybdenum (VI) with different bioheteroligands are substances of interest because of the three components: a molybdenum ion, peroxo groups and biologically important molecules [1–3]. We have recently reported results of the studies on reactivity of peroxo complexes of Mo (VI) and W(VI) with several carboxylato ligands towards small biomolecules, such as NO and CO, in water solutions [4]. These results encouraged us to investigate reactivity of the peroxo complexes with α-amino acids.
