Abstract

In this paper our intention is to examine dialogue from the point of view of those who have hitherto been strangely invisible. One might call them the “silent partners” in the dialogue movement. These are the peoples of what is often called the “third world,” the “backward countries,” etc.1 By whatever name they be known, they have been singularly absent from the dialogue scene.
