Samenvatting
Het werken met chronisch getraumatiseerde kinderen is uitdagend en vraagt om een speciale therapeutische aanpak. Daarnaast is de samenwerking met ouders voor een groot deel bepalend voor het succes van de behandeling. Hierbij is het van belang om rekening te houden met de voorgeschiedenis van ouders en hun gehechtheidsstijl en om de therapeutische houding daarop aan te passen. In dit hoofdstuk wordt beschreven welke uitdagingen zich kunnen voordoen gedurende de behandeling, welke technieken kunnen helpen om verder te komen, en welke aanpassingen gemaakt kunnen worden in de benadering van deze kinderen en ouders om de behandeling goed te laten verlopen.
