Samenvatting

De behandeling van de gevolgen van psychotrauma kan voor kwetsbare cliënten met beperkte draagkracht of comorbide persoonlijkheidsproblematiek worden ingebed in een multimodale behandeling of een geïntegreerde behandeling voor trauma en persoonlijkheid. Traumaverwerking en de aanpak van traumagerelateerde dissociatie kan dan worden gecombineerd met non-verbale therapie, in het bijzonder lichaamsgerichte therapie, of hand in hand gaan met de behandeling van beperkingen in het persoonlijkheidsfunctioneren. Voor psychosociale stressoren kan maatschappelijk werk of ondersteunende begeleiding naast de traumabehandeling aangewezen zijn. Waar nodig kan het gezin erbij betrokken worden.
