Abstract
We report the change in the superconductivity characteristics as a sample of the Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system is soaked in the distilled water or in a certain organic solvent. The critical temperature shows a tendency to decrease with the water soaking time however both maximum magnetization and critical current density increase until about 18 hours after the soaking then rapidly decrease with the longer soaking time. For the effects of the organic solvents, each of such surface values as critical temperature, critical current density and maximum magnetization shows a monotonous decrease with the soaking time.
