Summary
Inclined cracks with sharp or circular blunt crack tip shapes in flat plates, under mode I, mode II and mixed mode I-II plane strain loading conditions, are investigated by large strain elastic- plastic finite element method. The stress fields with different plastic zone sizes around crack tips and the crack displacements are examined for strain-hardening material. Finally, the different zone sizes caused by the initial crack tip shapes are given.
