Abstract
The diffusion flow model of the barrier function is the most significant innovation for cerebrospinal fluid diagnostics. The barrier dysfunction as reduced cerebrospinal fluid flow without morphological disturbance (leak) allows for the adequate interpretation of cerebrospinal fluid data and is the basis for new therapy concepts.
