Kohlenwasserstoffe sind chemische Verbindungen, die aus Kohlenstoff und Wasserstoff bestehen. Diese Stoffgruppe ist sehr komplex, da Kettenverzweigungen, Kohlenstoffringe möglich sind bzw. kombiniert werden können. Neben Einfachbindungen können auch Doppel- und Dreifachbindungen in den Molekülen vorhanden sein.
