Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel werden Eventdaten vorgestellt, eine Datenquelle, die von Experten an der Schnittstelle zwischen Sportleistungsanalyse und Informatik verwendet wird. Eventdaten sind eine zeitlich geordnete Sammlung aller in einem Sportspiel auftretenden Ereignisse mit angereicherten Attributen wie den Eventkoordinaten oder dem Ergebnis der Aktion. Die hohe Verfügbarkeit dieser Daten und die darin enthaltenen Informationen ermöglichen ein hochgradig interpretierbares Verständnis der Teaminteraktionen. Es können fortgeschrittene Statistiken berechnet werden, die durch zeitliche und räumliche Attribute verbreitet werden. Die Analyse von Ereignisketten motivierte das Aufkommen probabilistischer Modelle, die eine kontinuierliche Bewertung jeder Aktion während eines Spiels anstreben und so die Mannschafts- und Spielerbewertungen in der Sportwissenschaft verbessern.
