Zusammenfassung
Während phake Intraokularlinsen (pIOL) in der Vergangenheit vor allem bei Patienten mit Kontraindikationen für keratorefraktive Verfahren eingesetzt wurden, etablieren sie sich mittlerweile zunehmend als ebenbürtige Alternative auch bei geringgradigeren Ametropien. Es werden drei Formen von phaken IOL unterschieden: kammerwinkelgestützte Vorderkammerlinsen, irisfixierte Vorderkammerlinsen und Hinterkammerlinsen. Jede Art von pIOL hat individuelle Anwendungsbereiche, Operationstechniken, Ergebnisse und potenzielle Komplikationen. Eine sorgfältige Patientenselektion, eine extensive präoperative Evaluation und regelmäßige sorgfältige Nachkontrollen sind unverzichtbare Instrumente, um optimale Ergebnisse und minimale Komplikationsraten zu erreichen.
