Psychosomatische und stressabhängige körperliche Beschwerden

Zusammenfassung

Stress kann unterschiedlich an der Ausformung von körperlichen Beschwerden beteiligt sein; so kann Stress körperliche Beschwerden auslösen, aber auch den Verlauf der Krankheitssymptomatik, den Schweregrad und die Prognose mit bedingen. Die Klinische Psychologie kann ihr Wissen durch den Einbezug von biologischen Faktoren erweitern, um ein Verständnis für die komplexe Natur von körperlichen Beschwerden, die durch psychologische Faktoren hervorgerufen worden sind, zu ermöglichen. Stressabhängige körperliche Beschwerden sind komplexe Phänomene. Wir wissen zwar, wie die Interaktion zwischen Anforderung und Ressourcen in einem Individuum eine psychobiologische Stressantwort generiert, über die verschlungenen Pfade jedoch, durch welche diese Stressantworten Krankheitsprozesse aktivieren und beeinflussen, ist noch wenig bekannt.
